Product Description

Welsh Dragon - Hand Carved £70

Welsh Dragon - Hand Engraved £56

A four-footed beast, having the build of a lion, with scaly body, large bat wings, forked tongue and tail.

Symbol of Wales, this red dragon represents vigilance.

Henry VII adopted a red dragon, inflamed, as a sign that he was descended from Cadwallader, Prince of North Wales.

Our Welsh Dragon can be either hand carved or hand engraved as detailed in the photos above.

Historically, leather drinking vessels were lined with either boiled Resin of the birch tree, Brewer’s Pitch, or Beeswax. Our full grain leather drinking vessels are lined with an epoxy resin to echo the historic use of resin whilst having the visual appearance of Brewer’s pitch. The resin we use is fully certified for use in both the food and alcohol industries.
